Example:
Tonight I'm sitting on the couch next to Jessica. She is drinking tea out of a heavy corelware mug. Then I hear something that sounds like the cup hitting her skull.
Me: "What the hell was that?"
"I hit the top of my head with the cup."
"[long pause] What?! Why?"
"Well, the cup was warm, so I was warming my head up, but then I hit my head with it."
What is one to say to that?

I started to DROP the cup, so it slipped out of my hand a little and bonked me on the head. I did not deliberately bonk myself on the head.
