Another reason sciencey folks should use latex

Omfg because Word sucks ass.

This guy has this document that can be opened, edited, etc. on the PC, but can't be saved on a Mac, in any version of Office for Mac. It's full of ugly equation editor objects, an Autocad document, and a bunch of Excel tables pasted in. Something in all this causes Word for Mac to freak out when you try to save, and the formatting of the equation editor objects is all messed up anyway--to the right of each equation, on the edge of the page, is a (), which the author clearly added by hitting the tab key a bunch of times until it lined up. Bleagh.

Stop being lazy! It isn't that hard to learn, and it will save a significant amount of aggravation for all concerned.

Incidentally, the problem with the document mentioned above was a single character--a member of the ordinary English alphabet--that was entered as an equation object. Kill me.

You are just so smart that you don't realize how hard it is for simple-minded folk to click
and paste and tab and F3 in the correct sequence......

It must be difficult being so smart that way..........truly.

Michael can't even get down to my level with computer stuff.

    I hope you are well.
